Hi all,
Have sponsorship, have send police checks, birth certs etc and the migration officer is awaiting news back about x-rays and medicals which are not even set yet.
Why you may ask?
Well we did the x-rays over a week ago which cost us €80 x 5 plus €70 for the delivery charges totalling €470
Myself and my wife were told that we didn't need a medical but we were charged 60 each for the referral letter for the x-ray €120
My two sons had medicals and had to give bloods but my daughter only had to take the medical that cost €150 x 2 = €300
And another €100 for my daughter = €100
The total cost of that day was €990
The doctor told us then that we had to have letters from our own doctor stating any hospitalisations and any resulting conditions if any.
As my son has special needs I was told that I had to get a letter from his school and his consultant stating that he is improving and that with time may hold down a job thus proving that he will not be a hindrance to the Australian government. So I had to make an appointment to get a letter from the consultant so it won’t be until March 22nd before they send all the medical stuff off to Sydney
I wasn’t told this before the apointment if I was I wouldn’t be waiting now so word of warning to others out there in same position.
Can anyone enlight us as to what else we need to have in paperwork. Migration officer won’t answer e-mail until she gets notice back from DMIA and that won't be fr another couple
Sorry about such a long post |
