Good News guys.
The government in oz have announced their new priority processing lists and if you currently hold a State Sponsership and your occupation appears on the states new SMP you will automatically be pushed up to Cat 2. This means 6 months from when the SMP is announced that a visa grant should be given. Yipee for all who hold SS already.

Stop delighted out today.
I recon i will be on the new SMP too as im a mining trade and it is in Top priority on that list from WA last week.
If caminetmaker isnt on SMP you can apply to another state for SMP sponsership under the same visa application as far as im aware so once we are someones SMP we will be ok. If on the WA SMP we are 6 months ahead of the possie.
Whats your plans. When you hoping to make the big move???
We are hoping to head over next year at any stage and prep to start our daughter in School in Jan 2012. Cheers _________________ TRA Lodged 01 Oct 09...TRA Granted 03 Nov 09.....State Sponsership WA lodged 04 Nov 09....176 Visa Lodged 25Mar2010...State Sponsership Granted 08Jun2010.

Hi ya bcfrug,
I am praying cabinetmaker is on the WA list, as we have lived in Perth before and so we really want to go back there!! its on as TOP priority of the workforce report, so hope it stays on list!!
I thought it wasnt on the new SOL, but I have been told it is, must have been a sub category!!
Cant do anything until the state lists come out.
Have heard rumours that due to the election on the 21st Aug I think, the states list may not be implemented!!!!! as present government is only acting as a caretaker to hand over to new government. Legal reasons!!! One state has already moved there date to Sept.
I am resigned to the fact it will be next year. I guess we have loads to do. Pay off loans etc here, sell house, pay for this whole process, so while I want to go tommorrow, I will just have to learn to be patient.
Then if a job offer comes in the mean time, then we may consider going over sooner, as we will have our own PR visa in the pipeline.
I just hate living in Limbo, never making plans for the future. I want to do a course, but dont want to be in the middle of it and then we leave, and then wonder if any courses are recognised over there!!!! you know what there like.
Our kids are young so another 12 months is going to make much difference. Age 6, 3 and nearly 1!!!
You just have the one baby?
My husbands cousin is trying to go, but his teenager children are refusing!!
I love Perth!!! it has beautiful weather, the humidity in Brisbane and Darwin nearly killed me. I worked in an Oil and Gas company, great job great perks. Hubby worked renovating pubs around Perth, Rosie OGradys in Fremantle, the Old Melbourne Hotel in Perth (beautiful buildings). We are back 10 years now, but still have friends in Perth, who are anxious to help us.
We really need to sell to be able to move, and there lie another dilemma!!
God it was so easy before, get your backpack and your ticket and off!!!
Will be watching like a hawk for this WA SMP list!!!!
Cheers Caz |

Hi guys,
No SMP List in any state!!!!! Now it seems they are waiting for the Ozzie Election on the 21st Aug, so looks like Sept.
Im hoping for a birthday present on the 25th Aug!!!!! but somehow feel that would be super efficient of them after only 4 days!!!!
Good luck to everyone waiting, and waiting.
cheers

No news yet Suzie!!! waiting for new gov to be formed and then see what they decide about immigration!!!! If its a totally new gov, they may decide to scrap the system and start again. It seems they want to reduce immigration numbers, so we better get in, before they make it too hard to.
